Tour de Chicago
Live out your Tour de France fantasy with our Midwest variation - Tour de Chicago! Challenge yourself and go the distance with a month long endeavor biking around the Chicagoland area.
Bike whenever or wherever you want, just track your miles through Strava!

Summer Spin Series-Navy Pier Edition

Come along for our longest ride of the summer spin series to the famous Navy Pier! Start your weekend off right by visiting one of Chicago’s most famous attractions the sustainable way, by bike!

Our voyage will take approximately 3 hours. After our journey out to the pier, we will take a break and enjoy the afternoon by Chicago’s waterfront destination. Once we’re all ready (around 1:30) we’ll hop back on the saddle and ride back to the Chainlinks bike shop.
Participants will be treated to water and snacks, complimentary of Chainlinks!
Limited rental bikes are available, so make sure to secure your place early!
Summer Spin Series-Montrose Beach Edition

Ride with us to our local oasis-Montrose Beach! Enjoy the summer breeze while peddling your way to the shoreline. Suitable for all levels of cycling: beach bums adventure seekers alike!

Our journey will take approximately 2 hours, after a short bike ride out to the beach, we will stay there and the enjoy the afternoon for about an hour or so. Afterwards, we'll hop back on our bikes around 1:30ish for a leisurely ride back to the Chainlinks Shop, ending where we started.
Upon arrival at the beach, we will refresh and refuel! All participants will be treated to granola bars & refreshing water!

Join us for an exciting adventure on two wheels! Immerse yourself in the thrill of riding to the iconic Lincoln Park Zoo, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the joy of cycling. Mark your calendars for:

Our trip will take approximately 3 hours, covering a scenic 35 minute route there, approximately two hours at the zoo and finally, we'll hop back on our bikes around 2ish for a leisurely ride back to Chainlinks. Expect to arrive back at the shop by 3:00 PM, completing our fantastic day of cycling and adventure.
Upon arrival at the Lincoln Park Zoo, we'll be ready to refresh and refuel! All participants will be treated to delicious ice cream and refreshing water

Bike Commuter Challenge
Register today for the 2023 Bike Challenge, taking place from May 15 - June 11, 2023! Join the Loyola University Chicago official team, the Rolling Ramblers!
Each summer, Loyola participates in the Bike Commuter Challenge, a competition between Chicagoland companies and schools to see who can commute by bike the most. It's FREE to participate and top riders will be eligible for prizes. You don't have to bike every day or even the entire way to work--make even one trip during the Challenge and you can help Loyola become the Bike Commuter Champs.
